Plant produces a beautiful red Romaine that yields 10"-12" bronze-red heads with a green heart. Leaves are loosely folded on heads. Excellent for salads and garnishes. One of the slowest-to-bolt lettuces available. Good for Spring, Summer, and Fall plantings as it's cold-hardy and also tolerates heat. Grown in the U.S. since the 18th Century.
