Athena Muskmelon is the most widely used melon in the Eastern U.S. The 5-7 lb. melons have light ribs, medium netting, and tend to stay firm even when harvested at full slip. Athena melon does not trade flavor for firmness, making it the melon of choice by many growers. Good disease resistance.
