2023 Hibernation Share Update

Hibernation Pick Up

Dear Hibernation Shareholders,

Thank you for your continued support!

The harvest season is rapidly coming to a close. Field conditions are extremely dry, but there is a silver lining in that. We have experienced some very cold nights here in the valley. Several mornings have been in the low 20’s and one morning the thermometer registered 19 degrees. Normally that would have ruined all our late crops. However, because of the dry conditions, our cauliflower, broccoli, Brussels sprouts and even red beets are somewhat dehydrated. If the “fruit” of these plants would have had normal levels of hydration there would have been enough damage to make them unsaleable. Instead, we have beautiful produce for your Hibernation share!

Please understand that I would prefer to have groundwater levels at a normal level, but we will make the best of what Mother Nature gives us!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family,
Farmer Dave
