Locally made Spring Valley black and brown colored mulch is double ground and produced from aged pallet material. Starburst Brown is a very dark chocolate brown and Starburst Black, our top selling color, is the darkest black available.
$39 Delivery is available throughout York County for all bulk mulch orders of 5+ scoops. Our truck is capable of holding 10 scoops per truckload. **1 scoop = 1/2 cubic yard**
We will contact you by phone within one business day (please note we are closed on Sundays) to complete your order and to set up delivery. If you have an immediate need, please call our store at 717.741.2631.

Freezing Melons
Cantaloupes, watermelon, honeydews, and other melons are easy to freeze. Here's how to freeze melons, with or without sugar.
Ingredients:
- Fresh melon
- Water
- Sugar (optional)
Equipment:
- Ice cream scoop
- Knife
- Freezer container (or bags)
Preparation:
- Select the fruit
- Prepare the syrup by disolving sugar into luke war water, mixing until the solution is clear. (Use the chart below)
- Chill the syrup before using.
- Cut the melon in half, remove seeds and rind. Cut melon into slices, cubes or balls.
- Pack into containers and cover with syrup (the sugar syrup will retain freshness, flavor and color) Or just fill the containers or freezer bags without the syrup.
- Seal the containers and freeze.
